I love red heads! Ginger kids, rusty blondes, carrot tops etc. There are manyyyyyyy more words you can use to describe this but I kind of find them offensive as a semi-red haired person myself. Urban Dictionary even has 143 pages describing what/who they are. Regardless, I love them and think there should be much more in the world! My childhood heroes were Pippy Longstocking and Ariel (The Little Mermaid).. and still kind of are but more recently I love Kate Nash and Lily Cole. Famous red heads in history are.. Galileo Galilei, Queen Elizabeth the 1st of England, Sir Winston Churchill, Botticelli’s Birth of Venus, Mary Magdalene and in recent history.. Vivienne Westwood, Wilma Flintstone, Ronald McDonald and Geri Halliwell (aka Ginger Spice!)
Some examples of my most favourites..
Hayley Williams of Paramore

-Red heads are more likely to have freckles, be sensitive to UV light, blush easier and more frequently and are apparently more likely to experience pain related to heat and cold.
-Even if neither parents have red hair they can give birth to a red haired child if they have the MC1R gene
-The gene isn’t going to be extinct any time soon although it may decline and can skip generations but the potential for the gene will always be there.
-Holland actually celebrates red heads annually! I so want to go!!
